PC Tab Alarm System - System Components

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PC Tab Security Sensor - PCT-SNSR.2
The PC Tab Security Sensor is the heart of the PC Tab Alarm System.
There is a tamper switch built into the PC Tab sensor that will
set off an alarm if detached from the equipment it is protecting.
The sensor is attached using 3M tape or the glue-on base place.
If someone removes the sensor from the equipment being protected,
the alarm
is set
off,
notifying
a security department (or monitoring service). The visible LED
tamper indicator makes finding the disconnected sensor easy.
If you need to remove the sensor for machine maintenance, you
only have to replace the 3M tape. If you are using the glue-on
base plate, you just need to unsnap the sensor from the base plate,
and reattach when done. This makes the overall cost very
effective!
(if you are using the sensor with tape and
it is removed for any reason, whether for maintenance or if it
has been tampered
with,
you
MUST replace the tape otherwise
false alarms may ensue). |
The
PC TAB sensor 2 now has 350% more surface area, to avoid
false alarms! For those who prefer a more permanent solution, we
have an optional glue down plate, rather than using the 3M tape.
|
Replacement Tape - PCT-SNSR.Tape-Large
Replacement tape for the PCT-SNSR.2 Version 2 Sensor. This tape
must be replaced whenever a sensor is removed from equipment, for
whatever
reason.
Otherwise, false alarms may ensue. A good ratio is to have 1 replacement
tape on hand for every 10 sensors you have installed. This way
you should never run short! |

|
Replacement Glue-on Base Plates - PCT-SNSR.2.Base
Replacement glue-on base plates for the PCT-SNSR.2 Version 2
Sensor. These base plates only need to be replaced if you are using
an existing sensor on a new piece of equipment. A good ratio is
to have 1 replacement base plate on hand for every 10
sensors
you
have
installed.
This way
you should never run short! |
|
Replacement Tape - PCT-SNSR.Tape-small
Replacement tape for the original PCT-SNSR Sensor. |

Connecting Wires -
PCT-CW06
PCT-CW12
PCT-CW25
PCT-CW50
The connecting wires have snap connectors at each end. Just
plug the connecting wires from sensor to sensor through the entire
cluster of computers/equipment you wish to secure, for a neat inconspicuous
configuration. Available in 6', 12', 25', and 50' lengths.
Custom lengths also available.

|
RJ-11 Adapter - PCT-11SN
RJ-45 Adapter - PCT-45SN
|
| In a typical installation, you would install
a standard RJ-11 phone jack at the end of your zone wire, near the
equipment to be secured. This RJ-11 adapter plugs into that jack
to convert to the specialty PC Tab wires. An RJ-45 adapter is also
available in cases where you want to utilize an unused network wire
for your zone wiring. |
|
End-of-Line Terminator - PCT-T56
The End-of-Line Terminator provides for a supervised alarm wire. 5.6K resistance
value. This terminator needs to be plugged into the unused port
in the very last security sensor in the cluster. If using
an alarm panel other than our DSC panel, you will need the Universal
Contact Module to ensure proper operation. |
|
Universal Contact Module - PCT-UCM
When using the PC Tab system on a panel other than a DSC alarm
panel, you must use the Universal Contact Module inside your alarm
panel to ensure proper operation. The Universal Contact Module
makes the PC Tab fully compatible with any alarm panel. It
monitors the PC Tab sensors and wires with a fully supervised loop
while providing a dry contact to your panel. One contact
module is needed for each cluster (zone). You do not need
the Universal Contact Module if you are using a DSC Alarm Panel. Board
size: 3" x 11/16".
