PC Tab Alarm System - How it Works

The heart of the PC Tab System is the unique security sensor equipped with a strong and durable 3M tape that you just peel and stick to the equipment you are securing.  The PC Tab system is connected to a Central Alarm Panel (which can be done via existing spare network jacks, if available).  Any attempt to remove this sensor from the equipment will set off the alarm, alerting you to a possible theft, contacting a Security Department, Monitoring Service, or whomever you designate.

PC Tab Sensor and Wires daisychainedThere is a tamper switch built into the PC Tab sensor that will set off an alarm if detached from the equipment it is protecting. The sensor is attached using 3M tape. If someone removes the sensor from the equipment being protected, the alarm is set off, notifying a security department (or monitoring services). The visible LED tamper indicator makes finding the disconnected sensor easy.

The sensor is a universal fitting that will protect ANY equipment!

PC Tab Alarm Sensor protecting a Computer and Monitor

The PC Tab Security Sensors have 2 port openings into which the connector wires are plugged. After attaching the security sensors to the equipment being secured, you just plug the connecting wires from port to port through the entire cluster. Various length connecting wires are available to ensure there is adequate slack to prevent undue tension on the security sensor.

Connecting the PC Tab wires back to the alarm panel (which is typically mounted in a nearby network closet) can be done by running a wire to converting an existing, unused network wire into a dedicated alarm wire. To use an existing network wire, you simply plug our RJ-45 adapter into the jack. Then snap one end of your first connecting wire into this adapter, the other end snapping into one of the ports on the first security sensor. Plug the next connecting wire into the other port of the first security sensor, then over into one of the ports on the second security sensor, daisy-chaining down the line. At the very last security sensor in the cluster, make sure to plug in an end-of-line terminator into the remaining port on the last security sensor to provide supervision of the system's alarm wiring.

It's that simple!   Complete alarm protection with the ease and simplicity you're looking for.  ALL FOR LESS THAN $50 PER COMPUTER! (in most configurations)
