Which key option should I choose?

SUPERVISOR-OVERRIDE ACCESS (MASTER-KEYED):

If you are purchasing multiple lock kits for a group environment, a Master Keyed System may be the way to go.  In a master key system, you receive one "master key" which opens all the locks in the system although each lock also has its own unique key. This allows individual users to have their own keys, while also allowing an authorized person to have supervisory or emergency access to each lock.

When ordering additional kits, you can have them keyed to the same master key number. You will receive one Master Key at no charge with your first order of 10 or more MK locks.

Additional Master keys can be ordered for a charge, however, we do suggest limiting the number of people having complete access to your computer systems.

INDIVIDUAL ACCESS (KEYED-DIFFERENT):

This is the standard option for individual use. You receive two keys per kit ordered. When ordering additional kits, you may not have them keyed to any previous number received.

Previous key number to match, what does this mean?

If you have purchased this lock from us in the past, you may want to match your existing key code. Just enter your existing key code in this box and we will match this to your new locks!* If this is your first order, or you don't need to match a key code, just leave this box blank.

*Please keep in mind that if you are ordering different locks or locks from a different manufacturer than you currently use, your key code may not be valid on this lock. If you enter a key code in this box, we will determine if it will match with the lock you are ordering. If not, we will call you and work with you to determine how best to proceed.
